A bit about me

I have always been fascinated by people's behaviours and what makes them do what they do.  I have learnt that people's behaviours, thoughts and beliefs come from their personal experience of the world, which in turn impacts on their feelings and emotions.  I understand that we all feel emotions that are fuelled by our thoughts and create the reality we live in.

I love seeing the positive impact that my work has on my client's mental well-being.  I have been on my own journey with my mental health and as a result have been through the counselling process which I believe has helped me move forward into a more mindful life, hence my decision to move over from the corporate world into a counselling profession.  Developing levels of self-awareness about my own personal journey and the things that have helped me overcome my own obstacles, allow me to relate to my clients in ways that have felt authentic.

I aim to offer a safe, supportive environment in which to develop a trusting relationship.  One in which you will be heard with respect and without judgement.

I began my counselling career as a purist Person Centred counsellor, but quickly learnt that one approach of counselling does not fit all, so decided to re-train as an integrative counsellor.
